HAIP is hosting the Region VIII Conference in 2012 and has set a goal of raising $100,000 to do so.
Katharine M. Nohr, Esq., fundraising chairperson, presented this goal at the July 2009 membership meeting, requesting that each member commit to assisting with 2 fundraising tasks each year. Members are encouraged to attend the fundraising meetings, which are held the last Friday of each month (except for November and December) at the Plaza Club at 5:15pm.
The next fundraising project is the Insurance Fest, which will be a Hollywood themed talent contest, that will be held on October 15, 2009, with details to be announced soon. The fundraising committee is also planning to hold a garage sale, publish a cookbook, conduct opportunity drawings, sell Krispy Kreme donuts and Mitsu-Ken breakfasts, and sell items on the Internet.
Jan Reischel is the 2012 Conference Chairperson, Tracy Adams serves as the conference treasurer.
